HSUHK signs MoU with Sun Life to nurture next generation of insurance talent
The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) and Sun Life Hong Kong Limited (Sun Life) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a series of talent development initiatives across four key areas: scholarships, internships, student project competitions, and corporate visits. Through this collaboration, both parties aim to nurture a new generation of talent equipped with professional knowledge, practical experience and innovative thinking, thereby contributing to the long-term sustainable development of Hong Kong’s insurance industry.
The collaboration will benefit students enrolled in the Master of Science in Insurance Programme (MSc-INS) offered by the School of Decision Sciences at HSUHK. By strengthening ties between academia and industry, both parties will provide students with opportunities to gain deeper insights into the insurance and financial services sectors while enhancing their professional competencies, practical skills and career readiness.
The MoU was signed by Dr Christine Yeung and Professor Simon Ho on behalf of Sun life and HSUHK respectively, marking the official launch of the collaboration.
The scholarship, internship, project competition and other initiatives will be rolled out progressively from September 2026. Interested students can submit their applications through HSUHK.
