Co-organisation of “The 5th GBA and the 2nd National Joint School Mathematical Thinking Elite Challenge – Hong Kong Station”

The Hong Kong round of “The 5th GBA and the 2nd National Joint School Mathematical Thinking Elite Challenge” co‑organised by the Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Insurance, was successfully held on 17 May 2026.

The event brought together guests, teachers, and students from Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and other cities, creating a dynamic atmosphere showcased the energy of mathematical education and innovative learning. More than a competition, the event provided participants with a valuable platform to demonstrate their problem-solving skills, engage in peer interaction, and deepen academic exchange through a series of diverse sessions.

The Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Insurance is pleased to have supported this meaningful event and extends its gratitude to the organisers, “Infinity Lab R&D Limited” and partner institutions for their contributions.
