Celebrating a BSc-AIN Student’s Achievement in SOA Examinations

Congratulations to Mr. WONG Yiu Wai Irving, a Year 4 student of the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Actuarial Studies and Insurance (BSc-AIN) programme, on receiving the CMG SOA Examination Award in Actuarial Studies and Insurance and the MSI Professional Recognition and External Competition Subsidy Scheme in June 2026.
Irving’s achievements reflect his strong commitment to the actuarial profession and his dedication to academic excellence. Under the CMG SOA Examination Award in Actuarial Studies and Insurance, he was recognised for successfully passing the Advanced Long-Term Actuarial Mathematics (ALTAM) examination. He was also awarded the MSI Professional Recognition and External Competition Subsidy Scheme in recognition of his successful completion of the Fundamentals of Actuarial Mathematics (FAM) examination.
The Society of Actuaries (SOA) credentialing pathway is internationally renowned for its rigorous examinations and high professional standards. Successfully passing these examinations requires a solid foundation in mathematics, statistics, risk management, and actuarial science, together with considerable dedication and perseverance. Irving’s accomplishments demonstrate both his technical competence and his determination to pursue professional development in the actuarial field.
