BSc-AIN Student Recognised on ASHK President’s List
The Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Insurance is delighted to congratulate Mr. CHEUNG Ka Hei Philip, a Year 3 student in the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Actuarial Studies and Insurance (BSc-AIN) programme, on being named to the ASHK President’s List under the inaugural scholarship programme of the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong (ASHK).
The scholarship was established by ASHK to support students pursuing actuarial-related studies and to contribute to the development of Hong Kong’s future actuarial talent. The initiative aligns with Hong Kong’s talent-development goals and aims to strengthen the pipeline of professionals for the actuarial, insurance and risk management sectors.
Philip was among only five students across universities in Hong Kong selected for the ASHK President’s List, which recognises outstanding students who have demonstrated academic excellence and a strong commitment to actuarial studies. He received the recognition during ASHK’s flagship Ageing Well Hong Kong 2026 Conference, held on 22 October 2026.
The Department is proud of Philip’s achievement, which reflects his dedication to academic excellence and the high calibre of students nurtured by the BSc-AIN programme. His recognition by Hong Kong’s leading professional actuarial body highlights the programme’s ongoing commitment to preparing students for successful careers in the actuarial profession and related industries.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Philip on this well-deserved honour and wish him continued success in his academic and professional journey.
