Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS), 北美產險精算學會
The Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) has named the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong as a Bronze partner through the newly-established CAS University Recognition Program. AIN students are strongly encouraged to join the CAS Student Central for free webinars, networking, and practice exams, as well as gain access to the research, case studies, articles, and other reference materials reflecting the latest developments in the growing field of general insurance. CAS will also hold various outreach activities with the Department, which students are welcome to join.

The Actuarial Society of Hong Kong (ASHK), 香港精算學會
The Actuarial Society of Hong Kong (ASHK), established in 1968 and incorporated in 1994, is the professional body for actuaries in Hong Kong and a full member of the International Actuarial Association. Its Fellow Members may use the widely recognised FASHK designation, and Fellowship is a statutory requirement for serving as an Appointed Actuary or Certifying Actuary under Hong Kong regulations. The ASHK Certificate ensures actuaries possess essential local insurance market and regulatory knowledge, complementing overseas actuarial qualifications. It is a prerequisite for new ASHK Fellows, recognised by employers, and often listed as “ASHK Certificate / Examination Preferred” in actuarial job postings. Passing the exam is also accepted by the Insurance Authority as one way to fulfil the local knowledge requirement for statutory actuarial roles.
The ASHK Certificate Scholarship supports full‑time local actuarial science students and promotes high professional and regulatory standards. Scholarship nominees must join ASHK to sit the exam, and the HK$1,000 exam fee is waived for selected candidates. Passing the exam strengthens students’ readiness for statutory actuarial responsibilities and enhances their competitiveness in the job market.

The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), 英國特許保險學會
The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) is one of the most recognized professional bodies in insurance profession. For more information, please visit: HERE
BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Studies and Insurance (the Programme) is accredited by the CII, an international body for the insurance profession. Graduates of the Programme are qualified for 75 Diploma credits and 15 Certificate credits. For students who have earned 75 Diploma credits, by taking two compulsory CII examinations, including Insurance Law (M05) and Insurance Business and Finance (M92), they will be awarded the Diploma in Insurance (Dip CII).
