很榮幸參與統計處的暑期實習計劃，接觸統計和數據分析相關工作。實習期間，我提升了數據視覺化、數據分析和編程技巧，將課堂知識應用於實務。這次經歷豐富了我的專業知識，同時培養了團隊合作和溝通能力。感謝統計處給予這寶貴機會，我對統計和數據分析更有興趣，期待未來在這領域持續成長和貢獻。

I am very grateful that I received many valuable learning opportunities with passionate team members in the OGCIO and I am also happy to have made valuable contributions to the community. I was involved in various tasks and assignments that have enhanced my skill in teamwork and task preparation, as well as networking knowledge.

在中國移動國際近一年的實習中，透過多次協調跨部門合作及參與與國際大型電信商談判，我建立了商業思維及提升談判溝通技巧。我亦利用課堂所學的專業知識，分析部門業務數據，改善運作流程及業務情況。

在中銀資訊科技部工作會遇到其他資歷豐富的同事，經過兩個月的相處後，可以了解到在銀行工作的實際環境，讓我更了解金融行業。另外，工作上需要與不同部門的同事溝通，這樣能提升我的溝通技巧，以及提早建立在社會工作應有的處事態度。

這是我第一份文職體驗，此職位需求大數據分析與應用的相關知識，與我修讀科目有一定關聯。同時，我亦要與公司客戶（恒生銀行）共同合作，管理其網絡上的保險細節及安排，並與部門同事共同努力達成已製定目標。

提醒自己多留意身邊的人事物，對自我提升更有幫助，在工作上也需要多作主動。

I am very grateful that I received many valuable learning opportunities with passionate team members in the OGCIO and I am also happy to have made valuable contributions to the community. I was involved in various tasks and assignments that have enhanced my skill in teamwork and task preparation, as well as networking knowledge.

During the 12 months in IBM, I’ve participated in several project of data analysis and performed a satisfactory data analyzing skills.

It is a valuable internship experience because I have met a friendly team.

The work experiences in C&SD gave me an opportunity to have a taste in working in the government sector. It helped me to train up different skills, such as research skills, analytical skills and interpersonal skills, which are useful for my future study and my career as well.

In general, I think my performance met the job requirements and planned objectives were accomplished within standards. Moreover, I think I have performed better in some areas, including “Teamwork, Internal Synergy & Communication”, “Trust, Commitment & Accountability”, “High Emotional Quotient / Adversity Quotient”, and “Able to Solve Complex Problems”. However, I think I still need some improvement at work, including having a more innovative mind-set to introduce new ideas and creativity, to make sure I can work and finish the tasks more smoothly.

I got to know the flexi company culture, the operations of a big 4 company. The experience was valuable and broaden my horizon.

I have participated in IT audit engagements of various aspects during the internship, e.g. IT general control review and Journal Entries testing and IT advisory engagement, e.g. cyber security and doing research.

During this internship, my responsibility was to build a dashboard for business usage, assist in data science project, suggest solutions and enhance the development of Big data platform. I worked in various project in the Big Data Team, from dashboard building ,web scrapping, doing data research to select data source for the platform, building recommendation system for customer. During the process, I learnt a lot through cooperation and guidance from my colleagues, such as learning the process of project management and the coding style for effective team cooperation. I also learnt how to deal with a huge volume of data, build up an efficient development platform, version control and how to cope with different programming language. It was a valuable experience to me and I would keep on learning from my colleagues in my extended part-time intern period.

I was assigned to handle different tasks and cross-department projects. I have done a competitive analysis with product marketing interns. I knew more about the products of Vpon and even our competitors. Besides, I also got the chance to do the SK-II campaign analysis. This was a precious opportunity to let me know more about the operation team. My first task was the like reviews on the GBA report. I could utilize the knowledge learned from the university to analyze as well as validate the data and reflect the practical situation and gather significant information through data visualization. Moreover, I can enhance my presentation skills such as PowerPoint formatting. The skills and knowledge I acquired in these two months can greatly strengthen my competitiveness in my career, and help a lot of in understanding the operation in the big data industry.

Joining the internship allowed me to apply what I have learnt in school

I benefited a lot from this internship as I needed to handle projects, perform UAT and communicate with different parties.

With the experience and insight of working in banking industry, the internship allowed me to prepare my future career.

During the internship, I have learnt more about the industry of data analytics and I gained practical experience on handling data, such as validating data, forecasting future usage and performing data mining.

I received a lot of guidance and feedback from Vpon. The lessons that I learnt will carry with me throughout my future career.

During the internship, I have fruitful experience working with large amounts of data and figures. I am responsible for making data templates for business forecasting. Also, there is still lots of space for me to polish my communication skills and have a better time management.

It’s my first internship and it has been a great work experience. I made many new friends they have shared their experience with me. I’m glad to work with them.

Throughout the internship, my job responsibility was to handle clients’ enquires regarding the company law issue and to computerise the storage record in a centralised database. Besides, I have to design a clear and understandable database format and interface.

During the internship, self-understanding is the most important thing that I have learned.

I gained experience working in the internal audit division and had to work in China. Also, I was given opportunities in data programming and how to apply in various situations.

Being a summer assistant in DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited has given me a wonderful chance to gain my exposure to hand-on work experience. The scope of my duties encompassed handling data entry and helping open business accounts for corporations. I have learned how to use the computer tools to prepare documents efficiently. Also, the work inspired me to become a more self-motivated and detail-oriented person who can finish the job well by myself or with others. I really enjoyed the time in DBS Bank.

I became more familiar with the working environment of a statistician and I enhanced communication skills during the internship.

I gained much experience in presentation and I was involved in different projects, so I explored a lot more on the insurance industry.

It is essential to learn computer language if I prefer to work as a data analyst in the future.

I have learnt more about seasonal adjustment and time series by conducting a research on current seasonal adjustment approaches and new practices in response to COVID-19 adopted by selected countries and international organisations.

This is a very good opportunity for me to have real world experiences in business analytics field. I have chances to use SAS in doing business cases which my study at DSBI really helped a lot. The most important thing was the lecture from colleagues. They taught me a lot and we became good friends.

During the 11 months in Hang Seng Bank, I’ve participated in several projects for digital transformation and performed a satisfactory data analyzing skills.

I have conducted different researches, including industries, company background and persons.

This was my first job and I am glad that I could work as a summer intern at the Census and Statistics Department. I enjoyed working together with my supervisors and colleagues. It was a great opportunity to explore the structure of the HKSAR government and the operating mode of each unit. I hope I can work at C&SD again in the future.

Through this summer internship, I have improved my communication and problem-solving skills. I also enjoyed working with my colleagues and built a good relationship.

During the internship, I gained valuable experience outside school, like having a taste of work in the real world. I also learnt how to work according to priority, urgency and importance.

I am glad to have the opportunity to take this valuable internship and I have gain lots of experience during this internship.
