The Department of Mathematics and Statistics held the fourth day of the Workshop Series in Applied Statistics on 21 March 2015. The theme of the day was “Statistical Theory and Applications”. The Department invited Dr Gary Tian, Associate Professor, The University of Hong Kong, Professor Stephen Lee, Professor, The University of Hong Kong, and Professor William Li, Professor, University of Minnesota, to be the guest speakers of the event. The Acting Dean of School of Decision Sciences of our College, Professor ML Tang, also gave a presentation in the workshop. They presented on their recent research in missing data, model selection and conjoin analysis respectively. The participants learned up-to-date knowledge in Applied Statistics from their presentations.
