Professor Tang received his BSc in Mathematics and MPhil in Statistics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1988 and 1991, respectively. He obtained his PhD in Biostatistics from the University of California in Los Angeles in 1995. Professor Tang has extensive teaching and research experience in the tertiary education sector. He has held positions at Brown University, Harvard University, Hong Kong Baptist University, and the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong. Currently, Professor Tang is the Principal Lecturer in the Department of Physics, Astronomy and Mathematics at the University of Hertfordshire (UK). Professor Tang has published over 120 articles in statistics and biostatistics, and he is an elected member of the International Statistical Institute and serves on the editorial boards of several international statistics, mathematics and medical informatics journals.
