The Informatin Day 2025 was successfully hosted on 15 November 2025, attracting over 1,000 visitors including secondary school students, parents, and educators. The two undergraduate programmes of The Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Insurance (MSI), Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Business Intelligence (BSc-DSBI) and the Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Studies and Insurance (BSc-AIN), actively took part in the event. Faculty members and student representatives engaged with guests, answering numerous inquiries about admissions, curriculum design, and career pathways.

A highlight of the day was the admission seminar “Big Data and Actuarial Frontier” delivered by Dr Benson Lam, who shared the latest developments of the BSc-DSBI and BSc-AIN programmes. His talk offered valuable insights into how HSUHK equips students with the knowledge and skills to thrive in the fast-evolving fields of data science, business intelligence, actuarial studies, and insurance. The strong turnout and lively exchanges underscored the growing interest in these disciplines and reaffirmed HSUHK’s commitment to nurturing future-ready professionals.
