Module Description
This module introduces the fundamental concepts in corporate finance which are essential for
actuarial studies. Topics include the structure of corporation, time value of money and law of
one price, risk and project analysis, stock price valuation, various forms of capitals and
capital structure, long-term and short-term financing.
Learning Outcomes

b. analyse the effects of capital structure of company, agency costs,                          30%
asymmetric information, risk and return in corporate decision making;

decision and distribution decision.
