The Executive Master of Science in Insurance (EMSC-INS) Orientation Day was held in a leisurely afternoon on 26 September 2020. The first cohort of students of the Programme enjoyed a fruitful and fun time being welcomed by faculty of the Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK), receiving important information about their study in the Programme, and getting to know their fellow classmates, teachers and other HSUHK members. The event was also blessed with the presence of President Simon Ho, Professor Lawrence Leung – Dean of the School of Decision Sciences, honorable guests from the insurance industry and teachers of the EMSC-INS Programme. The participants all witnessed the official kick-off of the EMSC-INS Programme, a one of a kind programme in Hong Kong aiming to provide students with advanced training on insurance practice and quantitative skills that meet the needs of the insurance industry, and to prepare students to take on management roles in the fields related to risk management and insurance. We all sincerely wish the first cohort of EMSC-INS students the best journey at HSUHK, and be the true pioneers for many cohorts to come.
