Career Talk: Career in Insurance Broking

The Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Insurance organized a career talk on 6th March 2024 titled “Career in Insurance Broking.” The talk was presented by Willis Towers Watson plc (WTW). The session aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the roles and responsibilities associated with insurance brokers.

Participants learned about what kinds of skills and qualifications are required for the success in the insurance broking profession. They gained valuable insights into the day-to-day responsibilities of insurance brokers, such as assessing clients’ insurance needs and providing risk management advice.
One of the highlights of the session was the chance for students to directly submit their CVs through the link provided by the speaker. This unique opportunity allowed students to showcase their skills and qualifications to potential employers in the insurance broking industry.
