The CAS Professional Talk, organized by the BSc-AIN Programme, was successfully held on 19 March 2026. We were honoured to invite Ms. Bo Lin, Asia Regional Director of the Casualty Actuarial Society, and Mr. Haoyang Yu, FCAS, ASA, Vice President (Analytics) at Peak Re, to share their insights with our students.

The speakers provided an informative overview of the Property & Casualty insurance and reinsurance industry, introduced the CAS qualification pathway, and shared practical advice on CAS exam preparation and actuarial career development. Drawing on their rich professional experience, including direct involvement in CAS examinations, the speakers offered valuable perspectives that were both insightful and inspiring to aspiring actuaries.

The talk was well received by students and served as an excellent opportunity for them to gain a deeper understanding of the general insurance profession and the diverse career paths available in the P&C field.
