Big Data Seminar Series: Big Data x Advertising

Co-organised by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics and Students’ Association of Data Science and Business Intelligence, the “Big Data Seminar Series: Big Data x Advertising” was held successfully on 28 February 2019.

We were honored to invite Mr. Kenneth Leung, Deputy General Manager of Hong Kong, Vpon Big Data Group to share with students the trends of big data and how data science can be applied to decision making in the advertising industry. His colleagues, Mr Eric So, Ms Alexa Tang and Ms Jamain Yeung also shared their working experiences and career opportunities in the industry at the seminar.

The seminar was well attended by over 70 students and teachers. Students found the seminar informative and interested in the internship and career opportunities in the industry.
